Introduction ~ all about ME

I'm new to the world of blogging, but definitely addicted. I started a private family blog back in Sept. 2007, and have since created this blog to write about motherhood, saving money, cooking/baking, sewing, and knitting. (all favorite past times of mine, and things I LOVE to blog about) I also have a photo blog to indulge in my love of pictures, and I will soon have a food blog to write about recipes.

I'm the luckiest woman in the world because I was able to marry my true love, and we have been blessed with four beautiful girls: Deirdre - 7, Joy - 5 1/2, Sabrina - 2 1/2, and Maggie - 1. And yes, I have changed their names. I figure it's my job to protect them, and while this may be an unnecessary precaution I live by the old standard, "better safe than sorry."

In the beginning of 2007 I stopped working outside of the house, and began the full time management of my family and home. Before that I was a Marine... yep, I said Marine! I served in the Marine Corps for 9 years and I enjoyed it, but I was glad to let that life go so that I could devote my time to my family instead. NOTHING has been the same since.

Almost daily something occurs that amazes me, or distresses me, or just plain confuses me, and I find myself wishing to record these feelings and thoughts. And, because I am not shy in the least, I decided that a blog would be the best forum to do this. Now all of you out there will be able to join me as I meander through the marvelous madness of motherhood!
